ABOUT US

We are a bicultural family (USA + Japan) living in the northern suburbs of Kyoto. We make a point to celebrate food and meals as the most colorful part of our day. We love cooking, sharing, and listening to music together in our big open kitchen.

We would love to open our home to you and hear about your travel experiences. Let our children show you the simpler side of growing up in Kyoto. Don’t mind Luca the dog and Oli the cat wrestling under the table. Step into our kitchen and become a part of our family for the day.

Join us for a delightful journey as we walk together to our home, where you’ll meet our family and pets in a warm, inviting setting. Once everyone has donned their aprons, we’ll dive into the cooking process—chopping fresh vegetables, creating delicious sauces, and working together to make culinary magic.

Afterward, we’ll gather around the table to enjoy the fruits of our labor while sharing stories about your travels and insights about life in Japan. Once we finish our meal, indulge in a little dessert and enjoy some relaxed conversation.

We open our home and hearts to you, providing a space where kids, pets, and adults can listen to music, unwind, and savor good food together.
